Tri-City Lacrosse was founded in 1983 in the Utica/Rome area of New York State by a number of college
players anxious to continue playing the sport of lacrosse after returning home from college. Our summer
league was initially comprised of 80 men (4 teams of High School Seniors, College students, and local
coaches and former players). Since then, our league has blossomed into a 700 person organization
dedicated to furthering the sport of lacrosse in Upstate New York. Tri-City Lacrosse has recently
received 501(C)(3) status with the IRS and is the governing body for the Tri-City Men's league, adult
travel team, BULL youth leagues (various girls and boys divisions 3rd through 11th grade), and a
development program for kindergarten through 2nd grade girls and boys called Kindercross.
